Employment Opportunities at ITI

The Industrial Technology Set up (ITI) a Statutory Board functioning within the purview of the Ministry of Science & Technology is a multidisciplinary research organization in Sri Lanka dedicated to the promotion of industrial development through R&D, contract, consultancy, training and technical services.

The Institute is seeking dynamical, energetic and resourceful candidates for the following posts. Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka who possess the inevitable qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

Postgraduate stage in Science or Technology or Engineering from a recognized University

AND

A minimum of 15 years professional experience of which 8 years should have been in a postpositive major leadership role in R&D with commitment to team goals and supporting other team members. The candidate should be held an excellent track record in the management of projects/programs and be well versed in concepts of quality management systems.

Usefulness of Position

To provide leadership by defining long-term Research, Technology and business strategies and providing comprehensive direction and management, for major R&D programs aimed at fulfilling the strategic, technological and business objectives of ITI.

The slant reports to the Director. The candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the Food Technology Section, Materials Technology Segment, Herbal Technology Section, Environmental Technology Section and Engineering Services through their respective Heads/Managers. The nominee should have excellent negotiation skills and be able to monitor and review team member’s work for quality and adequacy as well as yield direction and guidance to deliver value to institute and industry.
